I am trying to open some Logitec video clips that are saved as ASF files and are set to open with Windows Media Player. When I open them I get an error message saying that the "vivo codec" is required to play the file. I have no idea what this is or where to find it (up till now I had never even heard of a codec). Can anyone help please?

Download a codecs pack all in one at http://www.free-codecs.com/. It is a piece of software that decodes the video for mediaplayer.

Try to analyse your file with VideoInspector ( http://www.kcsoftwares.com )
