i have an avi file that i want to burn as a vcd but the file is too big to burn as a single vcd i don't have any dvd's to burn it to and i wanted to know if theres a way i can burn the file to two seperate cds are there any programs that can slice the file so i can rip it to seperate disc? thanks for the help if any...

Here is a guide how to do it manually with DVtool
and burn with NERO

I find that most converter programs (e.g. WinAvi) have a function in them where you can allocate how many mb's you want on the first disk....it will then automatically split the vcd at that point.

i tried winavi it was very easy to use but when i played the converted file there was a large advertisment in the middle of the screen is there any program like winavi that i can use that won't have that interference? somebody please help

I assume the advertisement is a watermark. If you like the program, I suggest you register it to enable all the features and remove the logo.
