how do I join an .avi file with an .ac3 file?

what free soft-ware enable me to do that?

Use STORM CODEC 5.05RC1 The page is in Chinese.. But this program allows you to load with the interface, each of the two files and see them via Classic Media Player. It comes with the bundle. I got it from a friend. I can't attach ... it is 15MB

Don't know why you would want to join AVI & AC3 unless the AVI is missing the audio component. (dolby Ac-3 is audio component)

Normally I will demux the AVI into separate video/audio streams. Them multiplex, encode and author them in to DVD (MEPG 2 format). VirtualDub Mod will demux the video/audio portions for you. Then just matter of using tMPGenc to muliplex them together or depends what output format you want.

I want to join .avi with .ac3 because I just bought a new surround sound system.
