Hi everybody, pls I need some help, I convert my downloaded movies from avi (divx/xvid) to mpeg with the following tools:

FFDShow (to paste subtitles)
TMPGEnc (convert to mpeg while pasting subs)
Nero 6 (to burn a VCD)

My problem is: When I try to install DIVX 5 or 6 Codec the subs don't appear anymore, I also have installed ACE Mega CoDecS Pack v4.20, everything works fine until I want to upgrade the divx codec, can anybody help me pls???, I don't want to use Virtual Dub anymore I'm happy pasting my subs with ffdshow is the easyest way to do it.

By the way I have WIN XP SP2

Thanks in advance

Hanpi

Hi!

You seen this guide on videohelp?

Are the subtitles in the proper format (.sub, .srt)?
Did you set Directshow Multimedia File Reader to the highest priority in TMPGEnc?

Well..... then don't upgrade the DivX codec.. unsure.gif

Or, what you use for displaying subtitles? Is it FFDShow or DVobSub (VSFilter)? Maybe you should change.

Also post this issue in the forum of that guide:

Others can be experiencing the same problem or the author may answer you wink.gif
