I am trying to play what appears to be a wave file. When I try, Windows Media Player reports I do not have the correct codec. When I clicked on teh web button to see if www.wmplugins.com has the codec, it reports the following:

"The codec you are missing is not available for download from this site. You might be able to find it on another site by searching the Web for "1111" (this is the WaveFormat or FourCC identifier of the codec). "

Can someone direct me where I may find this codec please? Thanks.

Hi!
Are you sure it's "1111" or "0x1111"? I don't know these.
Checked waveformats at MSDN and ??? unsure.gif
What kind of sound card? Can be a driver-like codec.. unsure.gif

Thanks for the reply. The sound card is factory installed in a Dell Optiplex. I believe it is a a SoundMax card.

The file I am trying to play was created in an application called Call Applications Manager by a company called Evercom (www.evercom.net). The message does state 1111 as repoted by Windows Media Player. It is probably a proprietary codec and I am out of luck.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks for the help.
