Hey there, not long ago I tried the safe xp program, but now I think that safe xp has made some problems.

When I open 5-6 IE windows it groups them on the taskbar, thats all fine, I want it to do that, but the group icon has changed, before there was a blue IE icon as group icon on the task bar, and I know that this is the standard icon for groupping Internet Explorer windows.

But now it has changed somehow to a yellow map which says windows pathfinder.

Though the only changes I made in safe xp was to remove the map recent documents from the start menu.

And also now I cant get that recent documents map back to the start menu, i tried with safe xp to change it but just cant get it back.

Well I can live without the recent documents map in the start menu, but I really miss the blue IE icon for taskbar group.

Does anyone know how to get it all back ?

Also I tried to look in the start menu under properties and advanced to see if I could get the recent documents back, but the hole section that used to be at the button of that window was missing.

A little hard to explaine it all since my xp system is danish language.

Hope any of you have an idea what to do.

Btw. I also tried a tool called Tweak UI to see if it could repair my icon but no luck sad.gif

I have made some screen prints to show you what I mean.

First here is how it looks on my taskbar:

You can see the yellow map where it say's windows stifinder (in english windows pathfinder)

And here is how it should look:

You see the blue IE icon instead of the yellow map I have on my taskbar, this is how I want it to be.

Hope any of you experts out there knows how to change it back.

Sall

Yellow map? Looks like standard folder icon to me. rolleyes.gif

Not sure what the problem is.. have you tried navigating to shortcut
Properties...change icon...

Take a look a the pictures then you will see what I mean.

You see the first picture there is a yellow map, on the next pic there is a Blue IE icon.

The problem is that when it groups my IE windows it dossent show a blue IE icon anymore, instead it comes up whit this map which says windows pathfinder.

If it was a map that I had oppened I could understand it but this is not a map I have oppened, this is 2 internet sites oppened with my IE browser, and they have been grouped under this map instead of the normal blue IE icon.

Hope you now know what i mean wink.gif

Must be some language barrier or you use different terminology.
I see on the first screenshot yellow folder icon labeled STI finder.
Attached File  icon11ei.jpg (4.58K)
Number of downloads: 338
I know you can group similar taskbar buttons. You can disable/enable it:
RIGHT click with mouse...start button... properties
Under taskbar tab, deselect Group similar taskbar buttons

Whatever this STIfinder is, the icon is corrupted or missing. (Uninstalled or broken registry entry.) Hence it's likely defaulting to the standard folder icon.
Any further prob, I suggest you go to SafeXP website for further help. Honestly, too many people have had problems with GAMEXP/SAFEXP, so I would stay away from it.
