Starvin with Louis - A great find! The funniest show I have seen!

The first thing that attracted me to the site was the promise of recipes for people with no money. Being a college student as I am, I can relate, and I thought it would be good to have a few tricks up my sleeve just in case I needed some variety.

Once I got into the first episode, though, Louis' style and dry humor spoke to me. It spoke to me from Louis' face, specifically. And I liked it. While "cooking show" as a genre is hardly novel in and of itself, this show manages to find an unexplored cranny (i.e., cheap food made by and for poor people) and throws in a little "Iron Chef"-esque flair with the taste-testing and the judging. It's a novel approach to a tried-and-true television staple.

New episodes are here.

Actually Louis is a pretty good cook ... I mean as long as it doesn't kill you and it's cheap it's food right ? And if you are short on cash ... it may be the only option. But, in Episode 2 the new roommate guy actually likes his portion ... so it kinda depends on your taste biggrin.gif And just cuz it's really cheap doesn't mean it's bad blink.gif .... ohh unless it's from sick.gif McDonald's sick.gif ... yuck ... Actually my dog who eats stuff that looks like ... uhhh ... something you would never eat ... he did NOT eat breakfast sausages from McDonald's ... in fact after he sniffed one of them he kinda felt sick ... I don't blame him (and they were new too)
