i dont know if its somthing wrong with my windows media player 9 or codec problem...but recently all my avi videos seems to turn into black screens (with sound) whenever the movie is about to come to an end. The video starts off fine, but once its about to reach the end ::poof:: i get a black screen with sounds from the video. And when i repeat the video, its black screen throughout the entire video. This is really annoying whenever I tried to watch a music video. Can some please help me fix this problem?

Have you tried with another player like Media Player Classic, Zoom Player or BSPlayer? If the same thing happens, maybe you should reinstall the codecs those are used in the AVIs (see the fourCC with GSpot).
If there is no black screen when using another player you may reinstall WMP to fix it.
Also, can be a problem with DirectX
Test it with DxDiag.

Well, you can choose the option of reinstalling your codecs (you said: all your .avi videos, so mainly DivX or XviD). But only if you love Windows Media Player
Otherwise... just use a more ....'user-friendly' player like the ones above.
