Hi there!
I'd like to know if you've heard about any software that can make
transcripts. The reason I'm asking about it is because of a research I've
been doing that involves sound recordings, and their transcriptions. It
takes a lifetime to transcript an hour, so I was thinking maybe there's a
software that could do that for me... Do you have any idea where I can find
it, or if there's such a thing?
Thanks in advance!
Yours sincerely;
Gabriela Bulla.

Would it be presumptious of me to assume you have already tested and excluded the dominant speech recognition packages? ScanSoft Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8 would be one.
A speech recognition general site would be at http://www.tifaq.org/speech.html which is a links page to other resources.
These do convert recordings to text, as witnessed by their use in the medical transcripton field. But I don't know if the input is strictly auditory voice, or if they can process digitized voice data files.
