I'm using the Royale theme. (leaked from the Media Center 2005) cool.gif

Want more themes? Try ThemeXP:
http://www.themexp.org/

Consider getting WINXP plus pack if want themes, screensavers etc for WINXP.

Yes, I realize it costs money. wink.gif

Otherwise, look at 3rd party theme managers for Windows. StyleXP is my favorite.

Is what i orriganlly ment, but to be more speccefic. I need some good "visual styles" which i think are bassically the same as themes. If you know how they are different correct me(scream at me)and tell me imstupid.gif. I don't really care. Thanks Mischcabob i found a lot of good themes and visual styles at http://www.themexp.org/

Well what i've been looking for the past 10 minutes. It looks like "visual styles" are a type of theme, but i'm still saying that "visual styles" are another word for themes. Correct me if i'm wrong. So if you know of any other theme sites be happy to post it. smile.gif

XP comes with a one "visual style", with three color variations, that uses bitmaps to draw a window and most of the UI. Same as skinning, but this time the bitmaps, .ini files, .xml files and some more are incorporated in some heavy .dll, .theme, and .msstyles files. Visual Styles implies more advanced effects and skinning technology for WINXP whereas themes is a general term for packaging cursors, wallpaper, screensavers, logon screens etc.

However, if you want to use more visual styles with WINXP you will have to patch the skinning engine (break windows protection) to allow you to use unsigned visual styles. StyleXP like I mentioned above (see corrected URL) is one of those programs.

Want more theme sites? Just do a search in Google. wink.gif

That royale theme is pretty nice ... thanks euromix biggrin.gif ... if only I could make it silver it would be even cooler, but blue is fine too.
