core media player & OGM upside down video rendering

dry.gif It wouldn't matter so much if both the subtitles and the video were uside down but the picture is upside down & the subtitles the right way round.......is this a common problem with core media player? any solutions?

please help!

It's a problem that can be caused by FFDShow sometimes.
In Core Media Player, right-click the video playback window and see (under 'Filter Properties') whether "ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder" is in use. If so, click it then go to 'Output' in the Properties window that pops up and tick 'Flip video'.

[you can also disable FFDShow and let the appropriate codec to decode (in case of XviD for example) the video]

Thank-you! I found the "flip video" option under the [right click playback_filter options_DirectVobSub (forced auto loading version)_Misc tab in properties] but the principle was the same. Even though watching upside down was a bit art nouveau......quite an interesting experience really and you do get used to it......I like to have the 'normal' option
