My kodak camera saves it's videos in .MOV files but when I try to import these files to Windows Movie Maker, it can't open them. What can I do?

Windows Movie Maker won't accept MOV (Quicktime) files. You'll need to convert them to AVI format. Just do a search in Google "mov to avi" and you'll find applications (freeware as well), those do the job (also, helpful guides).
Of course, the Quicktime codecs are necessary even to play MOVs. You can get them by installing QuickTime Alternative or the official Quicktime product from apple.com. And well, you could buy QuickTime Pro there and then edit MOVs if you liked that way
