I tried to filter out only the most often used ones, but its just too many =)

Please make your comments.

P.S. These did not fit:
MCP
CTOS
AIS
OS/2
SunOS
IRIX
anyway, im too sleepy to type more. If u have one i did not mention, go ahead and post it.

Please, if u can vote on a poll, dont post anything here like "LINUX RULEZOR" or stuff which explains why you chose it. This should be of a pure survey =)

Regards,
Tim.

EDIT: If you have more then one, dont choose the one you like best, choose the one you use MOST. =)

Nice list. Could have narrowed it down to 5 (desktop systems) and grouped some together. Most people on this forum are not that tech-saavy anyway.

OOps.. forgot to mention I mostly use Mac OS 9.2 on PowerPC G4s networked together at work (HATE IT!) Of course, if I was using latest OS 10.3...it might tell a different story. unsure.gif

I have used Suse, Open Linux... but I grew up on Windows-based systems so vote goes to Windows XP PRO.

Why?
very stable, abundance of software, user friendly, small learning curve,
hardware support, familiar graphics GUI

Cheers cool.gif

I'm currently Using Windows, mainly for compatability and ease of use for the rest of the family.

I'd like to give different Linux Distros a try just to build up my own personal knowledge smile.gif

I use windows for my regular machines, however I have a server that runs Linux.(Redhat)

I'd use Linux for all my machines but then you have compatibility issues, a lot of games arent made for Linux until later in the developing years, and same goes for all applications.

Yes Windows (and DOS) of course and the reason is the same: compatibility.

They are coming... biggrin.gif

But can you imagine this situation:
You're trying to install an EA (Electronic Arts) game and getting an error message:

"This program cannot be run in Windows mode" blink.gif biggrin.gif

I can't and PC games are really important at all...

EA = retards. Someone should kill all of those blood suckers! Please dont EVER buy their games!

Please tell me, would u rather play Ubisoft games (think Spliter Cell, Rainbow 6 etc.) or some game that EA bought, and crap in every hole possible (and impossible) ?

EDIT: Btw, EA doesnt give a crap about you. All it cares about is how much cash it's sittin on.
