Please don't laugh to hard.
I live in Mexico so a friend of mine that lives in California got me this 80GB hardrive. I was so happy when it arrived but, a problem appeared the hardrive is internal and I own a labtop (ok go ahead laugh). So I was wondering if there is anyway I can adapt this hardrive to my labtop. My labtop is a SONY Vaio R505EL and the hardrive is a Western Digital Enhanced IDE Hard Drive WD Caviar SE model: WD800JB-00JJC0
Thanks in advance and I hope Mischabob is around, he always helps me solve my problems.

You can get a External case for your hadr drive, that hooks up with a usb cable.
They run around $15. to $29.
Good Luck!

HA you flatter me.
Just get an external hard Drive enclosure with USB or firewire that would connect to your laptop.
Masscool makes a great 3.5" enclosure. (about $10-$50 in price)
Check out your local computer store or try TigerDirect:

Neat site Mischcabob, those are cheaper than I've seen anywhere ... I was gonna recommend another site, but it looks like they are more expensive. I buy hardware now and then, so it's nice to have a good place to buy cheap, but good stuff
... thanks for the site

Hi,
there are harddrive boxes sold to turn your internal harddrive to an external harddrive that contains usb cables and adapters etc.You can buy one of these from a computer shop. And you can connect that harddrive to your laptop with a usb cable.
