A tool to MANAGE Mpeg Codec to USE permanently? How to choose between severals Mpeg codecs installed

I have more than one Mpeg codec installed on my computer.
Some are better, and i'm looking a software that can allow me to switch between the codec (to change the directshow graph every time a software open an Mpeg file).
I know how to change it for 1 file, but i dont know how to make it permanent (for all software that will open the mpeg file).

For example, on one computer that is using a DVD player with its own codec, i want to install Dscaler Mpeg codec and to force the system to use these new codecs, without uninstalling the DVD software...
Thanks...

Give radlight filter manager a shot, or many don't realize it but GSpot will allow you to set filter priorities as well. The Manager is a lot easier to use, plus allow you to register and unreg filters too. The norm for a filter is 6000, you can use just about any setting you like, windows uses the priority settings to try the filters out. IE, it tries the highest first and goes down from there until the file displays, properly or not! You could set the mpg2 codec you want mostly to 7001, and the others at 6000. Instead of unregging just set the codec to 4000, windows generally won't use it unless nothing else works.

luck!
