I recently had an ecounter w/ a Nvidia driver update (NF4 motherboard)...had alot of issues kuz i wanted to play F.E.A.R....ne way got it fixed. After updating my Nvidia audio/video drivers things were not working right so i went back to my older drivers (the ones that were on the cd's i installed when i built the PC) these i knew worked fine...so i resulted to them. Things still are not working. As of now my issue is with my .VOB files and .IFO...i use WinDVD and previously to messing w/ the drivers things worked fine. Now all i get on these VOB and IFO files is either a total green screen or a green screen w/ lines of purple/blue across it. I am however getting sound out of the file. I have tried deleting my codec packs (Nimo and k-lite, xvid). Then i tried re-installing....nothing. I also tried manually deleting them from control panel....but they seem to NOT delete no matter how many times i click remove. When i go back to the screen they are there again. If there is anything you guys know of that i can try, it would be greatly appreciated. Possibly an ABSOLUTE removal of my codecs if its possible (i dont want to delete random .dll files and find they werent codecs) then possibly re-install what i need? Im at a loss for ideas....thanks in advance.

I do not reccomend rolling back the driver that far, just go back to a previous version of the nvidia drivers, the one just prior to the most recent one, as for codecs you should re-install them (I know you have done this already, but just to be safe, make sure they are installed) ... I'm thinking the drivers on your first install disk are too old and may have conflicts with other things.

This might help ? :
