No. You need to download whole 42min. movie or stream it in WMP.
Then if you want portions of it you have to edit it later. wink.gif

I've been able to download playable partial avi files with firefox, but they were sometimes too corrupt to play, so I wouldn't reccomend it.

I may be wrong and anyone can feel free to correct me.

But you have to get the whole move simply because of how the movie was made. It's like when you burn a cd. If you don't let it finish the cd is no good.

Plus I think certin messures have been put in place so that that wouldn't happen. Temp files are made when you start to download anything and it has to finish to rebuild the file on your computer.

If you are wondering how some people are able to play some movie files when they are still downloading, I can't answer that one. Maybe it picks up on the stream and gets some informaion from where the movie is being copied from.

That is information that it got from the file.

The file told the player how long it was. All files do that it doesn't matter if they are on your computer or the net.

I don't that that MS has a save button. It has a rip button, and that is as close as I've seen it to having a save button, and if it did, it would get the whole file.

An ASX file is just a pointer to another media file, it’s just a playlist. For the most part ASX files will point to WMA, WMV, or ASF content. If you right click on the link to your ASX file and select Save Target As then you can open the file in Notepad and you will be viewing the basic playlist.

Like I said before you can't copy streams or download with WMP. Many servers are set up to disallow downloads, or when the source file uses mms:// protocol.

If you are so adamant about getting a copy of this low quality Islamic video try this software:

AVIPreview will let you view most, but not all partial AVI files
