What should I use to play rar files? I have tried: VLC, windows media, real player, and divX player. None of them work.

ahmm.. rar files are a type of zip file. blush.gif

You will need an unziping program that can open rar files.

The most common version is Winrar.

But here is a free one.

I know it's possible to play unrared movies with media player classic, VLC (not multi-archives) and XBMC, but is there any codec for WMP that makes it possible?

VLC will play wmp files as far as I know once you have the codec which is hard not to have these days.

Why don't just unrar the file and play it in window media play or VLC??? :?

with codec for VMP I meant a codec for windows media player that enables playing rar-files. (sorry about the single V.)

it requiers the double amount ocf diskspace to unrar every file, and it takes some time if youi diont have a fast computer. i would be much easier to just start the rar-file.
