What program is best for converting video files?

Pretty vague, general question. Could you be more specific?
There are literally dozens of converters and if you search the forum, you will find this topic has been covered many times.
If you want versatility and speed, I would suggest WinAVI Converter.

I like this program but when i'm trying to convert file with rmvb extension it shows me this

Try using google. RMVB is real media format.
However, version 7.1 does include a New RMVB encoder. It supports converting any format media file to the new RealVideo10 and RMVB format so external codec like Real Alternative shouldn't be needed.
*Also, test the file can be played with MPC/real alternative or Real player. Quite a waste of time if file is indeed invalid or broken!

I converted file with rmvd extension to avi and know he is 650mb and before conversation he was 250mb.Why is so big difference?

better bitrate and bigger resolution in avi!!!!
if you whant to keep the same size pull down the reso... and the bitrate!!

When I'm trying to convert a file it again showes an this error

I have instaled K-Lite Codec Pack Full newest version but it don't let me to convert.Whats the problem can be?

What I have to do or install in order to change Audio Sample Rate and Audio Bitrate In WinAVI,because now I can't change it.And how can I change settings for Audio Encoder MPEG Layer-3?
