I have a DVD ripped MV collections in .avi format, i would like to split all the MVs, I tried avisplitter and a few software .... unable to split the file exactly on the frames and times i want

the following is the video information from GSpot:

do anyone know any tool that can split this file correctly or video editing software that support this codec?? Is there any video converter can convert other format to this video format (same codec), i m thinking to compress all my high quality video collection to this codec format

Have you tried Movie Maker? It came with XP.

For Just splitting it's fine. The only bad thing is that it saves in WMV.

Hi hikki_boa,

Does our SolveigMM AVI Trimmer operates wrong with your files too?
If this is the case, could you please contact us for helping to fix this issue?

yup, none of the softwares i tried can actually cut on non- key frames ... all the trimmers programs showing me same outputs

i tried redefine keyframe in virtualdubmod .. turn all frames into key frames.... i managed to cut off the 1st 85 frames.. but the output quality distorted & unstable to run in virtualdubmod also

Really the trimmers you tried allows you to split with GOP(Group of Pictures) accuracy.
If to trim from an arbitrary frame your output first part (before a subsequent K Frame) etiher will not be played or it will be played as a rubbish. You need frame accuracy trimmer, but you'll have reencode all the stream with visual quality degradation.
