I have never had this problem using Windows Media Encoder in the past but have it now. I have an MPEG format file and it plays fine and dandy under Windows Media Player 9 or 10. I believe I have all the Windows Codecs I need and have successfully handled all kinds of video in the past.
However when I try to setup an encoder session with this MPG file to convert it to WMV and compress it a bit, the encoder bails and says I do not have one of the required codecs.
How can I identify what codecs it is asking for? I can't tell anything about this file looking at its properites.
Thanks in advance.
