HI,

I am pretty bad at making avisynth files of mpeg2 sources(vob mostly). Is there any software available that can generate avs files from mpeg2 sources of required frame rates & movie resolution

Hey there, I tend too drop an avi file into avi.net and let it createthe avisynth file, or you could allow DVX to do the same. It though will create the seperate sound files as well.

Take a look at the file they create. The avisynth files are pretty basic actually. Just the source, ie; mpeg2 and the file with the FULL location. You could add filters and the sort, that's the power of it, but not needed. These apps will add the filters for you in the file generated, if you use the editing functions, in DVX.
Just play the acisynth file and pick the one you want to use for the file you want to create.

luck,
