I have been a long and happy user of k-lite mega codec pack

Ive noticed somethign odd..

In some apps I have the codecs available for encoding (MS mpeg4 v1-3 etc.)

But in others they are not, and Im sure they were available at some point in the past (also with k-lite)

Anyone know what might be going wrong?

regards

(sorry for crossposting, but it seems I posted it in the wrong channel)

Depends on the app you are using. Some recognize some types of codecs, others use different types. The same codecs have variations in windows, VDub sees many but other apps will find different ones that Vdub doesn't see. You may have them still, just the app you are using now doesn't use that type.
Check out Gspot, it'llshow you what is in your system, whether en or de coder, and what type. directshow, acm etc.

luck,

the odd thing is that his application (DigitalFusion) used to see all these codecs but at some point (update of k-lite mega codec pack?) stopped to do so.
ive also installed a completely new version of the software that also does not see the codecs
