codec hell

ive downloaded a divx movie (48 files) and i have a divx codec installed. please tell this beginner what buttons to press so i can watch the movie. i have no idea what i am doing.

and whats youre ploblem??
the movie is splitted in 48files??
if yes . whats the extention of the file
or if not try gspot to find if you have the codec needed to decode the file!!
