AC3 decoder that doesn't convert to PCM? loking for codec

This is sort of for a professional application but hopefully I can find some help here.

My company produces VOD content in cablelabs spec. Which basically means transport stream MPEG2 files, with AC3 audio. When we are done creating the MPEG we are looking for a way to QC these files with audio and video and the files properties. Elecard player does this for us.

However we have run nito a slight snag. We are looking for a codec that will decode the AC3 audio, but not convert it to PCM. I have tried AC3 filter, and DTS-AC3 Source filter 1.0.0.0, both of these convert the audio to PCM. These were both found in the ACE mega pack 6.03 pro. Does anyone know of a codec that will essentially decode the AC3 and then pass through the audio as AC3. All I have been able to locate will convert to PCM.

In case this is coming from the demultiplexer, We are using the Elecard MPEG-2 Demultiplexer v. 2.0.90.30529

The video seems correct, I have used multiple codecs / filters for this, Elecard, Liggos, and all have worked properly.

Thank you I hope this is an appropriate place to post such a question.

...so just want to decode AC3? I take AVI files with AC3 audio and demux audio portion as separate stream if that is what you after.

VirtualDUB MoD may work... i use it for AVI files:
