Does anyone know how to deactivate an internal Card Reader.
I don't want to go to the extremes of opening my PC,
I just want to turn it off, my external reader is erratic and
I think the internal one is causing this.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you

...so it takes up a bay on the front of the computer?
MOst devices can be disabled depending on the interface through the bios or through windows device manager.
control panel..system..hardware..device manager
Hit plus sign to expand the tree. Might be under drives or USB controller depending on the connectivity.
Right click..disable.
Better yet.. remove the device from bay or find out what is causing potential conflict.
