Sony LCD Monitor problem

Last year I purchased a Sony SDM-HS73 17" LCD Monitor. Three weeks ago, it began to blink when I started it up. It continued to blink slowly for 1-3 minutes. Over the past two weeks, the blinking has gotten faster and it lasts longer, 4-10 minutes.
Once it warms up, it works fine. I have connected and reconnected the cable and power line to no avail. Is it just going down the tubes or is there something I am over looking?
It is less than a year old and should not be dying already. Any Ideas? Thank you, Richard

HAve you ruled out being video card & cable connection?
Also, mAke sure you install updated drivers/software for display (if available)

I redid the cables and had my computer person check out the computer when installing a new Hard drive. he said everything is fine with the computer, including the windows xp installation. I did download the latest driver for itthree days befpre I posted. I will be contacting Sony on Monday and find out if they know anything.
