I know i should be just comming on this website and asking for help, and i do not expect anybody to jump up and answer my question, but if anybody has any extra time and know about this if they could please leave a response it would be much apreciated.
I do not know what caused this, but the other night i was sitting here on my computer, when suddently my monitor flickered off and on a couple times, and the screen suddenly shrunk. the visibility on my monitor shrunk 3 inches from both the right and left side of my monitor, something that should only be possible by playing with the buttons on the front of the monitor and changing the horizontal size of the monitor. they horizontal and vertical are both at 100 (max) and the image will not stretch to the size of the screen. If anyone could help me, i thank you in advance.

Plug the problem monitor into another working computer. If it malfunctions the same way, the monitor is probably on its way out.

Plug in a known good monitor to your computer. If it malfunctions the same way, the on-board video or the video card might be defective. And/or the drivers are currupt and/or out-of-date.

Check with the motherboard vendor for updated chipset drivers and/or the video card vendor for updated drivers.
