Need a better player than Media Player 10.. help please!!

I am currently using Windows Media Player 10 and I am getting sick of it, it takes too long to load up, sometimes it freezes, etc... I am looking for another media player that is FAST at loading and playing videos and also very stable.

I also am in need of some sort of CODEC pack that will allow me to play basically ANY type of video I download, lots of times in WMP10 I get an error saying that the codec can't be found and I'm sick of this.

I am using Windows Media Center 2005 SP2 if that matters or not.

Take a look in Media Players. Lately, i'm very happy with MPUI

what is so good about Mplayer that makes it better than WMP10 or Winamp Video Player?

Just to name one:
Plays hundreds of different video and audio formats, including MPEG-1, -2 and -4 (DivX), H.264, MP3, Ogg Vorbis and AAC. For most media files, no additional codecs are needed. (This is because MPlayer is not one of the uncounted DirectShow players – the codecs are directly integrated into MPlayer.exe.)
