Can't play video, green screen of death

Take a look at this picture:

This is what I see after about 5 seconds into any video that involves quicktime. I cant play the video in any other player, but I can play it on my other computer. Which means that this computer has the problem. I am tempted to think that it is a codec problem because it happens with almost every video that I play with quicktime. Does anyone know how to uninstall codecs that might be causing the problem? This is really getting annoying...
