Hi
Just got a new HP Pavillion and I just dicovered that I cannot play any AVI files not burn them. The Ahead Nero software says it is a unsupported file type. I hear the audio portion of the files but i cannot see the movie. Do i need some type of codex on my PC in order to get the movie portion and burning process completed?
Please send the link to the codex I need if this is the case.
Thanks

I would recommend the ffdshow codec. It is an open source codec, and it can decode a lot of formats, almost every video.
