How do you know which codec to use.... does it depend on the software you are using, does it depend on the type fo DVD you are using like Sony TDK or Memorix, etc. and does it depend on the type of DVD -RW -R +RW or +R ..... being new at this, all of this is confusing.

If you want to put a file on a DVD to play on the DVD player connected to your TV which is the best type of disk, disk format, and software to use??? thanks

It doesn't depend on the type of DVD smile.gif

I think you should take a look in Guides section. Don't miss: What you need to know about codecs and What Codecs Should I Use?
