how to enable 5.1 sound? can't seems to get it?

hi..

i've installed the klite mega codec that comes installed with AC3 filter... last time when i installed the AC3filter standalone... i can get 5.1 sound when watching avi movies using bsplayer... now that i have windows media classic player and i have set the 3+2 output in the AC3 filter settings... i still get stereo output... i tried playing around with the media classic audio options but no result.. still gave me stereo output.... please help and thanks in advance...
