I am trying to covert an avi file. When I have checked the audio codec its Morgan Stream Switcher. I have downloaded the Morgan Stream Switcher from the website and installed it, but when I convert the file there is no sound. Am I doing this right or is there another codec for me to install? Please help
Thank you in advance.

Hi!

Which program do you use for the conversion?
And what application told you this Morgan SS information? Did you try to analyze the AVI with GSpot to determine what's type of the audio?

I viewed the file in media player 10.I clicked the properties and under audio codec it said morgan stream spliter. I converted it with ulead dvd creater 3. I have ran gspot and rendered the the results are

(S) --> AVI Splitter --> InterVideo MPEG4 Video Decoder --> ®

(S) --> AVI Splitter --> AC3Filter --> Morgan Stream Switcher --> ®

I also notice that under the video and audio boxes its says that there are 5 compatable codec installed and 4 compatable codec installed respective.

thanks in advance

Okay so it has AC3 sound.
I'm not familiar with this Ulead DVD Factory software, and maybe it has some problems with AC3 input, i don't know.

But there are easy-to-use (few clicks) AVI->DVD converters at free-codecs.com...
Try WinAVI Video Converter, it has built in encoders.
Or Avi2Dvd using free encoders (see the download page).

And then post here, what are the results wink.gif
