This is really pissing me off. I can't get audio when I play ANY flash videos. I use mozilla firefox, and I have REPEATEDLY re-installed macromedia flash. Flash audio doesn't work in any browser.

I posted on this forum once, but got no answers.. heh.

It all happened when I installed that god forsaken K-Lite Codec Megabullshit. And then everything got all messed up. I got EVERYTHING ELSE back to normal, but the only thing left is AUDIO in flash videos. I figured reinstalling macromedia flash player would fix it.. but of course that didn't work.

SO please.. help me. I'm willing to try anything because this is beginning to make me want to kick people in the throat.

thanks

Check the audio controls/settings in Windows. Maybe K-Lite CP modified something there as well. If it doesn't help, try to reinstall the audio driver.

Codec Guide has an item in their FAQ about this.

This seems to be caused by a bug in Flash.

Possible solutions:
Close all your browser windows. Then play an audio file, preferably .wav or .mp3. If it plays with sound, then close your audio player and start your Internet browser again. Now usually audio should be working again in Flash movies.
Empty your temporary internet files:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Internet Options
Check your speaker configuration:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Multimedia -> Audio -> Sound Playback -> Advanced -> Speakers
Run the Codec Tweak Tool. Select the following fix: "[Registry] Fix non-working system sound". If you don't see it in the list (near the top), then this fix is not needed.
