i just downloaded adobe photoshop elements and when i click on it, it asks me what do i want to open it up with. Can anyone help?

Hi!
When you downloaded it properly you should have the file: "pse2trial.exe"
It's a self-extracting exe file, double-click on it, set the temporary directory and click 'Unzip'. Later you can install Photoshop Elements2.0 from there.
BTW when you have programs like WinRAR, WinZIP or WinACE, you can right-click the icon and decompress the files with one of these as well.

That usually happens when the computer is looking for the program that made the documents that you are trying to load. If they are Adobe Photoshop elements, do you have the Adobe Photoshop software? If you have, is it installed correctly on your computer? If you have Photoshop, try starting the base program first, then clicking on File/Open and selecting the document you want to open. It might work that way.
