i am new to this site and i just wanted to enquire that do all the softwares work. i just downloaded partition magic 8 from this site and after installing it, i did not work displaying the message that this is an evaluation copy only and i wll need to buy an licenced version. is ths the thing with all the softwares downloaded from this site. please let me know.

Yes, downloadable software are in form of shareware, freeware etc. If you want a licensed copy, I suggest you register or buy a copy of the product. 
BTW, we don't condone piracy/illegal software either.
