What is it with ACE and control in Windows XP Pro? I install ACE Mega Codecs Pack, I try to use Winamp, and only my Shoutcast dsp plugin shows up on my damn screen. To get a look at the Winamp control panel, I have to open Windows Task Manager, bring Winamp to front, then maximize it. Not only that, but the panel is frozen in place on the screen, cannot be moved around, out of the way, whatever. Wtf? Every time I intall these panacea packs, problems like this cause me to uninstall them and get back to some semblance of usability.
Any suggestions?
