On a friend's 2 year old HP desktop we can no longer burn audio CDs with either Roxio or MS Media player.
Both software behaves as if there was no blank CD in the drive. Burning data files, playing audio CDs works fine.
The drive is: WDCWD 400 ED11, (CD R/W, DVD read only).
OS is XP Pro w. SP2
Thanks in advance,
Bela

If you can still Burn Data files on the disc, you could try creating a Data CD and burning all the Audio files on that. Most players wont make a big deal out of that.
If that doesn't work it sounds more like the software you use has something against Audio extensions. Did you recently update (MSP or Roxio, or just ran windows update)?.
If so, you could reinstall the previous version of your software and try again.
Hope this helps even a little.

Thank Jeero, he needs the CDs for audio only players, (no MP3 capables).
Cannot associate the failure with updates, did reinstall software.
