QTA Audio

I recently installed the latest Quicktime Alternative 1.75 (I would install the actual version but the installer doesnt want to run on my machine). I use MPC for playing media files but I dont mind using WMP or Real Player. I unisntalled all Apple related items (iTunes and Quicktime 6) and then installed QTA. After I installed QTA 1.75 my audio playback in quicktime files became VERY choppy. I can't seem to find out how to fix the problem. I have been trying different searches but to no avail.

To help others with the same problem I will now write a string of search strings that would be relavent to this issue:
QTA Quicktime Alternative Quick Time Audio Sound Choppy Stuttery Playback

In another (possibly) unrelated issue, whenever I playback XviD files through Windows Media Player I am unable to skip ahead in the file. I will click to a later point and the slider jumps back to where it was already playing. This is a rather annoying issue but not a huge problem because I usually use Media Player Classic to watch my files, but if anyone knows how to fix that I would be greatfull.

System Specs:
1.8 Ghz P4
512 MB RAM
Windows 2000 SP4 Build 2195 (With latest updates)

Relevant Installed Software:
DirectX 9.0c 4.09.0000.0904
Quicktime Alternative 1.75
Windows Media Player 9.00.00.3349
Media Player Classic 6.4.9.0
RealPlayer 10.5 Build 6.0.12.1465

Other Items Running:
Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2006 (8.310.1002/3.707.00)

As you can see I have included all information which I believe would be helpfull in solving my problem, I thank you for your assistance before hand and look forward to your replies.
