Hi

I`ve uninstalled WMP 9 from my XP-machine yesterday and installed Windows Media Lite instead.
(WMP 6.4.09.1130 is still installed on my PC)

Now, if I watch a streaming video on a website the picture is perfect but there`s no sound :-(

Does anybody know what can cause this and how this problem can be solved?

Please help if you can!

Thanx in advance

Arturo

Have you tried this. Go to Control Panel. Double click Administrative. Double click Services. On the right hand side, scroll down to Windows Audio and double click to see the various options. Click Start the service. See if this helps?

I have a similar problem here ... I just installed the K-Lite Codec Pack 2.77 STANDARD . I have video and sound but the sound is broken up . I tried playing music and there was no problem. It sounds good .

I have uninstalled Real Player and Quicktime but still have Windows Media Player. I run Windows XP HomeSP2.

I found that the Window Audio Service was already started.

Thanks,
Mandy --- a "newbie"
