Probably your system got confused...

Suggest uninstalling Nimo codec pack and other codec packs, filters, players you can see in Windows Add/Remove Programs menu.

Then download Media Player Classic, test a videofile (AVI) with GSpot, install the codecs separately.
When works and you can watch in MPC, could install Nimo codec pack, if you wish.
See the Guide to using codecs topic, point #5 for the right installation of Nimo.

Maybe DirectShow got totally b0rked. Try this:
Start -> Run -> regsvr32 quartz.dll

You need to update your video drivers.

I have the latest drivers for my graphics card.

Then use an older version of the driver. Newest is not always the best. Assuming you are currently using the Overlay renderer, you could also try selecting a different video renderer in MPC options. Overlay is sometimes broken with some drivers.
