I've been using TMPGENC DVD Author for a couple of years without problems. Now all the files I try to convert to DVD gives me the following error. Invalid video file. The DVD video standard accepts the video formats below only. MPEG -1 video , MPEG - 2 video. Assume I've lost a codec but no idea which one. Any help would be appreciated. This error use to happen maybe once in every 100 or so avi files now it's everyone. VIDEO ENCODES FINE BUT I HAVE NO AUDIO.

Some AVI files do contain dolby AC3 audio..so that must adhere to standard or it won't be accepted in TMPGEnc DVD Author. Not sure what program you use to encode the AVI into MPEG2 (DVD) either.
Try reading the help documentation and determining the audio codec (using GSPOT) that the AVi file uses.

Figured it out the audio plugin for DVD Author somehow got un-associated with DVD Author or was corrupted. All I had to do was to copy file back to directory and fixed the problem. Thanks for the help. BTW use TMPGENC to do the encoding before using DVD Author. Thanks again.
