Hey guys and girls,
I am desperately trying to convert an avi file to DVD. Im no expert at all.
My tool of choice DVD santa just shuts down after a few seconds. I have tried winavi and it does the same.
When this has happened in the past, it has been a matter of codecs. So, Ive installed new codecs, and still, it does the same thing.
I have the new version of Direct X, FFshow and the new codec pack installed.
This is the info for the avi file in question:
512x384 pixels
48 mins long
124kbps MPEG layer 3
25 frames per second
140 kbps data rate
12 bit video sample size
COMPRESSION : DIVX codec
Please help, anybody?

It sounds like you got pc troubles my friend. I have used winavi for a while now and I have never had any troubles. I would have someone that knows more about PC's than you do, to have a look at your system. Good luck.
