hi i have a kodak easy share camera (don't make fun of me, it works) that i used to record short video clips they are quicktime .mov format. i then bought a jvc everio (it works!) hard disk video cam. it records .mod and .moi formats (don't know what .moi really is...sound or something?). Anyway I want to play them all together and make one movie with both but can't figure out how. I'm using cyberlink powerdirector/powerproducer that came with the everio to make the movies and want to convert the easyshare/quicktime movies to .mod. i saw somewhere that changing the extension on the .mov to .mpg would work, but haven't tried it because it needed a codec and i don't know ANYTHING about those. Can anyone advise me here?
THANKS a Mil!
Alissa

That's where manual and bundled software with camera comes in handy. You can Try FFMPEG
FFMPEG is freeware that converts .MOD hard drive videos to .MPEG format using the MPEG2 codec.
Some people have had luck with ImTOO AVI MPEG Converter. Also, can try rename extension to play with your fav player.
