Problems with the video image

The video is too dark, cant get a brighter image, can you help me?
It happens with all the videos and I have the brightness and contrast by default on my Windows media player and other players.

Well, if you have no option in the player to make the picture brighter, try FFDShow as decoder. In the FFDShow settings you can change brightness level, etc... a lot of things.
