why did K-lite 2.80 remove CoreAVC ? question

This decoder is very faster than FFDshow.

Some codecs conflict with each other.. FFDSHOW lot more flexible.
JUst use Codec Tweak tool for custom installs.

It contained a very old version of CoreAVC which was a bit buggy.

yes! But it still is the best H264 decoder.
If H264 is "placed" into AVI, playing the file will meet some bug.
If I use mp4 and mkv container, I haven't ever been trouble with this decoder.

If mp4 file contain Vorbis, I use Haili splitter instead of Gabest splitter because Gabest splitter can not recognize "sound part" of mp4 file for this case
