Use XP Home SP2 - no complaints worth mentioning. I did lose my Roxio CD burning software due to SP2, now incompatible. No big loss - use DeepBurner Free now, rarely burn CDs anymore.
Current work PC is Win2000 - again nothing major to complain about, just wish I could install Firefox & a few tweaks. I did remove some spyware without the network admin's knowledge, not proud of it but can't stand that stuff. My Bad!
My vote - XP since that's what I bought & stuck with for now.

I use Windows XP Pro
, mainly for compatablity reasons and ease of use for the rest of the family
.
I used to use Linux at school, was a nice change from boring old Windows
My Vote - Windows cause ive got more experience on it

Windows Xp Sp2 is great but if you want to expand your knowledge about networking and whole lots of new functions try windows 2003 server. its one of the best server I ever operated. Of course windows xp pro is good for networking but 2003 is for the person who wants a bit more...

That's for sure... I ve been using Win2003 NetServer for year and it works without problem
But you must agree, it has many useless services....
Windows (as I think) is home and office OS...

I have to agree with you there, but to be more specific, windows is for the general computer user
