Hi
Does anyone know of a virus that can create a 0 partition?

The reason i ask is that when i went to reinstall Windows both my hard drives had 0 partitions on them?

If not a virus any ideas how to get rid of them?

Thanks in advance thumbsup.gif

Not sure if there is a virus that deletes partitions.
What do you mean 0 partitions on them? Did you use FDISK or some disk utility?

Normally IDE hard drives are identified as multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0). When you add partitions or divide hard drive into sections then default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

I assume you formatted drives previously with NTFS or FAT32. You can always re-create the partitions upon Windows install. wink.gif
