hey everyone,

i've been enountering this wmv problem and would love some help. trying to play these 768k wmv files in wmp 10. when they played, the color was completely off, mostly in black and white with little monochrome patches here and there. no other wmv files i've played gave me this problem. so i downloaded wmp 11, but got the same result. then i downloaded the newest divx player. that got the wmv files to play correctly in both the divx player and wmp 11. when i closed the video though, and later reopened it, the color problems were back. so i uninstalled wmp 11 and it reverted back to wmp 10. then the videos played normally again with correct color, but....asf files would no longer play. so i ended up reinstalling wmp 11 as a test, and lo and behold the 768k wmvs no longer play correctly and are back in weird black and white. i'm a total n00b at the codec thing. any help would be appreciated. cheers.
